AT&T TA Wage Benefit Aid and Contract Presentation
08/19/22 - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 21
To help members determine how the economics of the 2022 AT&T tentative agreement with AT&T affects them, we have developed a Wage Benefit Aid.  It includes the economic gains for many job titles over the life of the contract vs the increase in monthly medical premiums.  As you will see, the total economic package in the tentative agreement far exceeds the health-care cost sharing. This update also contains the contract overview presentation that was shared at the August unit meetings includes the language changes in the 2022 AT&T Tentative Agreement.

Crazy Weather - Work Safe
07/23/22 - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 21
It has been a crazy start to the weekend with this morning’s severe storms, flooding, tornadoes, and may continue with the forecasted high humidity and additional storms.  Stay safe and follow all of your employer’s safety guidelines. Whether you are working for your employer or helping your friends and neighbors remember, the most dangerous hazards can be the ones we don’t see. The IBEW was founded by Henry Miller who fought for safer working conditions. Miller’s last job was for the Potomac Electric Light and Power Co. in Washington, D.C. The night he died, he was trying to restore power after a storm when, according to an 1896 issue of the Electrical Worker, “he came into contact with a high-tension wire carrying 2,200 volts and received a shock knocking him off the pole.”
